Bonso primarily serves private label original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), original brand manufacturers (OBMs), and original design manufacturers (ODMs). Its major markets are situated in the United States, Germany, and the People's Republic of China. Furthermore, the company utilizes online platforms for the direct sale of its pet electronic product line. Established in 1988, the company was initially known as Golden Virtue Limited. It subsequently changed its name to Bonso Electronics International Inc. in September of the same year. The firm's headquarters are located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.
