This segment caters to a diverse client base, including the automotive, consumer goods, building materials, metals, chemicals, foodstuffs, heavy machinery, retail, electronics, and military equipment sectors. The Insurance segment primarily reinsures specific risks associated with the company's independent contractors. Landstar markets its offerings via a network of independent commission-based sales agents and a pool of third-party capacity providers.
