The company designs and manufactures products aimed at improving the comfort, energy efficiency, safety, security, and visual appeal of both residential homes and commercial buildings. It is structured into three principal operating segments: Tyman North America, Tyman UK & Ireland, and Tyman International. The Tyman North America division focuses on manufacturing hardware for windows and doors, along with extrusions and sealing systems. Its extensive product range includes diverse locking mechanisms, decorative handle sets, and precision rollers. It also supplies operators, tie bar/locks, and hinges for casement and awning applications, as well as locks/keepers, integrated tilt latches, rollers, balance systems, seals, and extruded profiles for hung and sliding window systems. Furthermore, this division provides specialized safety and access products such as smoke vents, roof hatches, floor access doors, and ladder posts. Tyman UK & Ireland is responsible for the design, development, production, and distribution of both decorative and high-security hardware, as well as smart solutions for residential windows and doors, marketed under its ERA and Fab & Fix brands. This segment also distributes weather seals for fenestration across residential and commercial sectors, and Giesse aluminum hardware. Additionally, it supplies architectural door hardware for commercial applications and offers manufacturing expertise for access products used in commercial roofs, ceilings, walls, and floors. The Tyman International division delivers a comprehensive array of hardware and sealing solutions to the global door and window sector, utilizing its well-known brands such as Schlegel, Giesse, and Reguitti. The company adopted its current name, Tyman plc, in February 2013, having previously operated as Lupus Capital plc.
