Beyond glaucoma, Santen's offerings extend to other ocular ailments. It provides DE-114A for allergic conjunctivitis and DE-076C for vernal keratoconjunctivitis. In addition to its prescription portfolio, the company produces and sells various over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products. Founded in 1890 under the name Santendo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the company rebranded to its current name, Santen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., in 1958. It is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.
