The Construction Materials segment focuses on the production and recycling of essential building components like aggregates, emulsions, binders, asphalt mixtures, ready-mix concrete, and bitumen. The Railways segment encompasses the design and engineering of major railway projects. Its services include the construction, refurbishment, and ongoing maintenance of diverse rail networks, spanning high-speed and conventional lines, subways, and tramways. This involves track laying and upkeep, electrification, installation of signaling and telecommunication systems, safety equipment, ventilation, and fire detection/protection. Specialized railway projects, such as bridge cranes, unique branch lines, and the repair of railway tunnels, are also part of their expertise. Beyond these core areas, Colas also specializes in laying and maintaining pipelines for water and energy transport. This extends to constructing complete gas compression stations, undertaking minor civil engineering tasks, and providing various industrial services. Furthermore, the company manufactures, installs, and maintains road safety and signaling equipment, manages traffic flow, and distributes bitumen. Established in 1929, Colas S.A. is headquartered in Paris, France, and operates as a subsidiary of Bouygues S.A.
