Inrad Optics, Inc., along with its affiliates, is a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of advanced optical solutions. The company specializes in crystal-based optical components, bespoke optical elements, and high-precision optical and opto-mechanical assemblies. Their product portfolio encompasses a wide array of optical components, specialized coatings, and integrated subassemblies. Notably, they supply UV filter optical components critical for defense applications, such as missile warning sensors, and also offer expert opto-mechanical design and assembly services. These optical elements include flat, prismatic, and spherical components, crafted from both conventional glass and synthetic crystals. Specific examples range from large form factor transmission flats and optical windows designed for airborne use, to complex multi-element optical assemblies, lenses, mirrors, polarizing optics, prisms, wave plates, and advanced x-ray monochromators. Furthermore, Inrad Optics develops laser devices and instrumentation, featuring electro-optic and nonlinear crystal devices engineered to modify the intensity, polarization, or wavelength of laser beams. They also provide other crystal components vital for laser research, commercial laser systems, and the detection of fast neutrons, alongside Pockels' cells and their associated electronics. The company serves a diverse client base, including corporations within the laser system, process control, and metrology segments of the photonics industry, as well as the United States Government, national laboratories, universities, and other institutions. Distribution is managed through their dedicated sales, marketing, and customer service teams, supplemented by independent sales agents. Their international reach extends to exports across Europe, Israel, and Asia. Established in 1973, the company is headquartered in Northvale, New Jersey. It operated as Photonic Products Group, Inc. until its renaming to Inrad Optics, Inc. in 2012.
