Through its Vaccines division, Sanofi supplies crucial immunizations, including pediatric vaccines for diseases like poliomyelitis, pertussis, and Hib, alongside adult vaccines addressing influenza, booster needs, meningitis, and those required for travel or endemic regions. The Consumer Healthcare portfolio features over-the-counter remedies for common ailments such as allergies, coughs and colds, and pain relief. It also includes products for liver care, general physical and mental wellness, probiotics, digestive health, and nutritional support. Additionally, this segment offers personal care items like daily body lotions, anti-itch products, moisturizing and soothing lotions, body and foot creams, and powders for eczema. Sanofi maintains an active pipeline with numerous pharmaceutical products and vaccines currently undergoing various stages of development. The company has forged strategic alliances, including a collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline for the development of a recombinant Covid-19 vaccine, a research partnership with Stanford University School of Medicine aimed at advancing immunology and inflammation knowledge, and a collaboration and license option agreement with Prellis Biologics, Inc. Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Paris, France, the company operated as Sanofi-Aventis before rebranding to Sanofi in May 2011.
