The company marketed its extracted crude oil and natural gas to refiners, marketers, and other purchasers who possessed access to vital pipeline and rail transportation infrastructure. Oasis Petroleum Inc. was founded in 2007 and maintained its corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas.
