Its operations are organized into three primary divisions: Pharmaceuticals, Wholesale & Retail, and Other. The Pharmaceutical segment covers all aspects from the research and development of new drugs and their production, through to their sales and marketing. The Wholesale & Retail division is responsible for distributing the company's products to consumers via its network of affiliated companies and pharmacies across various regional markets. The Other segment includes services provided by group members that support marketing and sales activities. The company was established in 1901 by Gedeon Richter and is headquartered in Budapest, Hungary.
