Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota, the company was initially known as Braun's Fashions Corporation before rebranding as Christopher & Banks Corporation in July 2000. Facing severe financial difficulties, Christopher & Banks Corporation filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization on January 13, 2021. This voluntary petition was subsequently converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation process on April 13, 2021.
