Operating as a subsidiary of Shandong Qingdao Port Group Co., Ltd., its diverse business activities are structured across six key segments: Container Terminal Operations and Support; Management of Metal Ores, Coal, and other Dry Bulk Cargo; Liquid Bulk Commodity Services; Integrated Logistical Solutions and Enhanced Port Offerings; Auxiliary Port Support; and Financial Offerings. The company facilitates the global trade flow by handling the loading, unloading, and transit of a vast array of goods. This includes containerized shipments, various metallic ores, coal, grains, break-bulk cargo, liquid bulk commodities, and other general freight. Beyond direct cargo movement, QPI provides extensive warehousing and storage solutions, alongside comprehensive port administration, container freight station operations, cargo logistics, agency representation, vessel towing, and meticulous cargo tallying. Its capabilities extend further into infrastructure development and support, encompassing facilities construction, the manufacturing of specialized port-related equipment, and supplying essential utilities like electricity and fuel. Additional provisions include the production of port machinery, various construction projects, tugboat and barging operations, ocean shipping tallying, security, emergency response, and general stevedoring and handling, even extending to niche areas such as textile and apparel services. Furthermore, QPI offers shipping repair and agency services, engineering design, technology solutions, property management, media services, lightering, oil pipeline transportation, and comprehensive check and inspection services. The company also manages operations related to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Through its dedicated financial segment, QPI delivers a suite of products and services, including deposit-taking, guarantees, insurance agency, investment and financial management, and corporate loans. As of December 31, 2021, Qingdao Port International Co., Ltd. managed a substantial infrastructure comprising 92 berths at the bustling Port of Qingdao.
