Currently, Pharmaxis markets Bronchitol, an inhaled dry powder used in the treatment of cystic fibrosis, and Aridol, a diagnostic tool that identifies hyper-responsive airways to aid in the diagnosis and management of asthma. The company's robust pipeline features several promising candidates. These include oral pan-lysyl oxidase (LOX) inhibitors targeting myelofibrosis and various other cancers, as well as topical pan-LOX inhibitors designed to address skin scarring caused by injuries, surgical procedures, and burns. Pharmaxis is also advancing selective Lysyl Oxidase Like Inhibitors (LOXL2) for a range of chronic fibrotic diseases, such as those affecting the kidneys, lungs, liver, and heart. Additionally, it is investigating semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase for potential use in neuro-inflammatory diseases. Further development includes Orbital, an innovative dry powder inhaler engineered to deliver high drug doses effectively to the lungs.
