NVL-520 is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation. Nuvalent's second key asset is NVL-655, an ALK-selective inhibitor that also exhibits brain-penetrant properties. This therapy seeks to address significant limitations of earlier generations of ALK inhibitors (first-, second-, and third-generation), including the development of treatment resistance, central nervous system-related adverse effects, and brain metastases. NVL-655 is presently being assessed in Phase I/II clinical trials. The company was established in 2017 and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
