Roughly 90% went to Robinhood Chain, with the remaining 10% flowing to the Arbitrum ecosystem that provides the underlying technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s a bit of a background to the $42 million figure. It works out to roughly $608,000 per day across the full 70-day period, rather than $2 million. But more recently, activity has accelerated dramatically. Protocol revenue reached about $2.61 million on September 5, while the preceding seven days generated $22.45 million. DEX volume also moved above $3 billion per day during the surge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FOMO has played a notable role in bringing traders into the ecosystem. The app was heavily Solana-oriented earlier this year, with <a href=\"https:\/\/marketcapof.com\/blog\/sol-vs-eth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Solana<\/a> accounting for close to 90% of its daily volume at one point in early July. By August 31, the picture had flipped. Robinhood Chain represented roughly 75% of FOMO&#8217;s daily <a href=\"https:\/\/marketcapof.com\/blog\/p2p-crypto-exchange-explained\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trading volume<\/a>, compared with about 20% for Solana. Krystal\u2019s displayed APRs are annualized from recent fee generation and can change quickly as volume, liquidity, and token prices move. Krystal notes on its chain-specific pool pages that its 24-hour APR figures are variable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The WETH pool also uses a tight liquidity range and has relatively little liquidity. A smaller range can boost fee efficiency while ETH trades inside it, but a sharp move can push the position out of range. Low liquidity adds another reason to treat the triple-digit APR as a snapshot rather than something an LP can assume will persist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is where Krystal\u2019s automation is useful. Pools such as WETH\/PONS and PONS\/USDG have recently displayed APRs ranging from roughly 2,000% to 4,000% on Krystal. Fees are being generated against a small amount of deposited capital. This can in turn produce an enormous annualized percentage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pool showing 5,000% today does not mean someone depositing capital should expect to earn 5,000% over the next year. More liquidity entering the pool, declining trading volume, or a sharp move in either token can rapidly change the figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Krystal DeFi App\u2019s Auto Compound and Auto Rebalance tools can help keep these positions working without every adjustment being made manually. They cannot eliminate impermanent loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This risk becomes very important with a volatile meme coin pair. If PONS moves sharply against WETH or USDG, an LP\u2019s token composition changes as traders swap against the pool. The fees earned may not be enough to cover the difference between providing liquidity and holding the assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pool Age Matters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A liquidity pool that appeared two or three hours ago can show extraordinary APR because there is very little history behind the calculation. One burst of trading can distort an annualized number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Waiting until a pool has at least 24 hours of trading history gives an LP more information to work with. Volume can still disappear, and prices can still collapse. FOMO\u2019s rapid shift from Solana shows how quickly trading attention has moved. Meanwhile, the chain\u2019s $42.58 million in early revenue shows that the activity is producing meaningful fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the opportunities need to be separated from the numbers used to advertise them. A 130% APR with thin liquidity and a narrow range carries risk. A 12,000% memecoin APR carries considerably more risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For anyone using Krystal DeFi for LPing, a better order of operations is quite simple, the pool\u2019s age, liquidity, volume, range, and assets first. Look at the APR last.
